Next Stage Residency

Next Stage Residency is an educational seminar designed for artists wanting a deeper engagement in business and project management. These educational seminars offer critical feedback and support in designing a pathway to progress with collaborative goals. Artist work in cohorts of 8 to set and achieve professional goals, while building long-term plans for the future.
Our studio is a painting studio that doubles as an exhibition space. Events that occur in the space include but are not limited to:
  • Art Exhibitions
  • Art making
  • Art classes and workshops
  • Networking events
  • Private parties
We are looking for 8 individuals to collaborate on a project that will be exhibited at the end of the program. Our goal is to help you develop your art business skills while maintaining your art making practices. Participants will meet once per week for 10 weeks from 6:30-8:30pm. Skills and subjects covered include the artist business model, project management, business entities and critiques on artwork. Cost: $200/participant.

This residency will take place at Dionne Victoria Studios, INC located within the Zhou B Art Center on 1029 W. 35th Chicago IL, 60609.
